Pre-Upload Checklist

  1. Install Apple Developer certificates on the upload Mac.
  2. Rebuild with App Store mode and a real signing identity.
  3. Confirm the built app reports:
  • CFBundleShortVersionString = 5.7.5
  • CFBundleVersion = 575
  1. Confirm entitlements include:
  • com.apple.security.app-sandbox
  • com.apple.security.files.user-selected.read-write
  • legacy read-only migration exception for /Library/Application Support/Apptag/
  1. Create the upload artifact required by your upload workflow.
  2. Upload through Transporter, Xcode Organizer, or the command-line workflow used on the Apple Developer machine.

Rebuild Command

From the Source folder's parent directory on the Apple Developer Mac:

cd Source
APP_STORE=1 CODESIGN_IDENTITY="Apple Distribution: Your Name (TEAMID)" bash build.sh

The included app was built successfully with App Store entitlements, but with ad-hoc signing on this machine because no Apple Distribution identity was configured here.

Use Assets/AppStore_1024.png for the App Store icon asset if needed.

Important

The DMG is useful for your own transfer/testing, but Mac App Store upload normally requires a properly signed app archive or package produced on the Developer account machine. Treat this folder as the complete handoff package, not as a pre-signed App Store upload.
